What's in My Kids' Easter Baskets
Well, my friends. Here it is: I have an apology to issue to you. A long-awaited apology. Life has been a whirlwind lately, and we did not launch our much-anticipated Done-/for-You Easter Baskets. For that, I am terribly sorry. Mostly sorry to because you will have to suffer through your own Easter Basket browsing, shopping, purchasing, and assembling this year.
Horrific, I know. Buuuuut I thought sharing a list of what's going into my childrens' baskets (complete with links!) was the least I could do to ease the pain.
My Easter Strategy
This year, I kept things simple and really tailored the baskets to each of my babies' unique interests... and my own selfish ambitions (i.e. shoving things in there I would have to buy anyway). As always, I referred to my dynamite (if I do say so myself) gifting philosophy to ensure proper execution of my world-famous gifting principles. 😉
If you've been around for a while, you've seen my cute and colorful Venn diagram one too many times. If not, allow me to introduce you to the 3 principles I practice when giving great gifts: I believe gifts should be thoughtful, useful, delightful, or any combination of the aforementioned principles. I know I am biased (since I wrote it), but this blog post is a helpful and entertaining TedTalk by yours truly for anyone looking to up their gifting game.
So, without further delay, might I introduce you to the lineup for my 7-year-old son, 4-year-old daughter, and 6-month-old son? I do believe I shall.
For My 7-Year-Old Son:
- PlusPlus Tin (delightful): My son is super into these right now. I love the open-ended opportunities for his robust (and impressive!) imagination.
- Dabble & Dollop Mini Bath Bombs (useful): I snagged a bag of these and am splitting them between my son and daughter. I love this cute and clean brand (we are proud to sell some of their amazing products at Persnickety, too!).
- Boys' Smiley Face Swim Shorts (useful): I love stocking up on summer things. Practical and delightful.
- Bling2 Goal Swim Googles (useful and delightful): So stinkin' cute. Another practical and delightful gift for the summer ahead. Love these.
- Peeps Bunny Lollipop and Easter Gummy Bears (delightful): Happy treats! I can't justify buying a whole pack of peeps, but I can handle one.
-
SOCKERS Messi Soccer Action Figure (thoughtful): My son is suuuuuper into soccer right now. He has such an incredible imagination, he loves figures—so when I saw this, it was a must! Pricey, but Maisonette has sales and this splurge was worth it for him. We're big Messi fans!
- Yoto Cards: We’re a Yoto family! My son has the original Yoto box (got when he was 4!). I grabbed him the Kane and Salah Ultimate Football Heroes cards.
- Blessing Placemat (useful and thoughtful): Each of my kiddos is getting a silicone placemat with our meal blessing as a reminder of the reason for this Easter season. So cute—I adore Be a Heart. I picked the cornflower blue for my big boy.
For My 3-Year-Old Daughter:
- Toy Lemonade Set - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia (thoughtful and delightful): My daughter has recently been setting up a "lemonade store" in the house with cups and plates, so this was a must!
- Easter Gummy Bears and Peeps Bunny Pop (delightful): Can't give these to one kid and not the other—ha!
- Olivia the Unicorn Glitter Purse (delightful): We love a sparkly purse!
- Dabble & Dollop Mini Bath Bombs (useful): As noted above, I'm splitting the bag between my older kiddos! I'll give my girly girl the girly girl colors in the bag.
-
Princess Jasmine Costume (purely delightful): You'd be hard-pressed to find a costume my little girl wouldn't squeal about. One princess she doesn't have in her royal collection? Princess Jasmine!
- Yoto Cards: My daughter has the Yoto Mini. I grabbed her the Tangled and Peppa Pig Bedtime Stories cards.
- Blessing Placemat (useful and thoughtful): The bubblegum pink one for my girl!
For My 6-Month-Old Son:
- Touch and Feel Board Book (useful and delightful): I can't resist a good board book for my boy. This one is so cute!
- The Flutterers Handmade Finger Puppets (delightful): This is one of my favorite offerings at Persnickety for babies. I can't wait to use these with my youngest!
- Sophie's Bestie Teether (useful for him, delightful for me): We had a Sophie the Giraffe with our other kiddos, so I thought I'd switch it up and get an Al'Thir. Not sure why, but my baby chomping down on a camel is quite funny to me.
- Sunshine Zippy (useful for him, delightful for me): I've eyed this little zippy for all my children over the years, but had never pulled the trigger. I couldn't resist for Easter!
- Puppy Parade Shorty Zippy (useful for him, delightful for me): Since my son isn't really old enough (or need) more toys, I went hard in the clothes category. I looove these puppies—perfect, since his room is also dog-themed (complete with....dog wallpaper, ha).
- Olababy Training Spoons (useful): As my son is exploring food, I think these will be fun for him (and me!) to use. Practicality at its finest.
- Blessing Placemat (useful): Same as above, but the mustard yellow for my baby boy!
For anyone on the hunt for an adorable basket, my 3 kiddos have these (in Seagrass) with gingham liners (green for my big, pink for my middle, navy for my baby). The medium size is plenty big for our needs!
Happy Easter, mamas.
